Synergy is movement, controlled, mindful and integrated movement.
It has its origins in Pilates influenced by Yoga with lessons from rehab and focus on mobility and deep core conditioning.
It always starts with centering trough breath work that will dictate the rhythm of work of each individual, 20 to 30 min of full body mobility work follows, after that core stability and spinal extension are the focus, followed by more mobility, core conditioning and strength and flexibility.
Music may be played and repetition counting is avoided in order to let the participant work at a natural rhythm that is dictated by the speed of breath and flow of movement.
You will perspire even though that isn’t the goal, our abs may burn even though that is not the goal, your arms may shake even though that is not the goal, your range of motion my increase even though that is not the goal. You may feel that all your muscles, joints and nervous system has been stimulated (no annihilated). That is the goal!
At the end of a session you should feel “on”, “solid”, awake and fully aware of your body!
