I have a holistic approach to my work. All the aspects of the client’s life are taken in consideration especially daily stressors and recovery strategies. I go beyond the work of a Boot camp Personal Trainer and exercise is just one of the aspects of my work.
My focus is on finding about the person’s lifestyle and hurdles and helping them to devise a strategy that will lead to better body image, more stamina, less stress and more happiness.

What is the Sampa approach to training?
It is a process developed through 10 years of experience in the fitness industry and countless hours of education.
In this 5 step process you
• Get a full body, diet and lifestyle evaluation
• Learn proper exercise technique

• Define strategies to improve lifestyle and well-being
• Get custom designed workout routines that take in considerations your limits
But I just want to lose weight.
The proper way to loose fat is to find what caused the weight gain first and them deal with the root of the problem. Therefore a full assessment to uncover the cause is the best way to guarantee that the weight will not come back.
What if I am not interested in diet and lifestyle advice?
You will have your assessment and work out prepared.
Keep in mind that the lifestyle and diet assessment and consultation will help to identify other factors that may be impairing your progress.
How long is a session?
30 or 60 min long
Do you do massage or physiotherapy?
No. My focus is strength training: body transformation, postural re-education, post rehab and pilates are just about all I can handle!
If necessary I refer my clients to a competent professional that will be able to help them with their needs in those areas.
Do you prepare eating plans?
I will give suggestions for food preparation, lists of food that are appropriate to your metabolic type, teach nutrition principles, and coach you with meal timing and portion. Everything that you need to make your own decisions.
My goal is for you to become completely independent from me.
How much time is needed before I see results?
Various factors affect the speed of progress including but not limited to: goals, lifestyle, genetics, availability, commitment, and willingness to change.
In one month you should feel a difference, in two months see a difference, in three months you will start getting compliments.
Do I have to do any other work?
Depending on your goals and the results of the assessments, I may ask you to perform some daily exercises (10 min/day max), fill out some logs, or nothing.
What do I have to bring to the session?
Work out clothes, commitment and positive attitude.
What is this “assessment”?
A series of tests to evaluate: balance, gait, posture, flexibility, mobility, abdominal function, and strength.
The purpose is to look for any muscle imbalances, joint instability and possible pain (muscular or otherwise). Also, to gather relevant information about how your body moves and any sort of red flag that would require modification of your exercise routine.
How long does it take?
60 to 90 min.
Will I work out during the assessment?
Even though there is a strength component the purpose is not to make you to exert.
What should I bring for the assessment?
Your forms completed and a smile.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes, sports shoes (bring the pair that you normally wear for physical activity).
Keep in mind that the goal is to analyze your movement therefore covering your joints and wearing black clothes makes an accurate evaluation more challenging.
Ideally you should wear shorts and a thank top, any colour but black – the lighter the better – and women should wear a sports bra.
Do I get a take home program?
Yes. A program will be given to you so that you know precisely what to do when on your own.
A private URL will be send to you were only we will have access to the content.
All this information will be available to you: videos for the exercises, program sheets with exercises, sets, reps, speed and special recommendations.
What is your cancelation policy?
24h notice or the client is charged for the full session.
If I cancel with less than 24h the client may request the next session for free.
What are these questionnaires for?
To learn about your lifestyle and other relevant information that will help reach your goals faster.
There is no right or wrong answer for any question!
All the information that you provide is kept confidential.
What is the “lifestyle report”?
After analyzing your Food Diary, Lifestyle and Metabolic Typing questionnaires, some recommendations are made taking intoxx consideration your goals, availability, and present lifestyle.
What is the HLQ?
The Health and Lifestyle Questionnaire asks questions about your diet, sleep, stress, detoxification and digestion.
What is the Metabolic Typing Questionnaire?
It asks questions about the way you relate to food.
Keep in mind that for both questionnaires there is no right or wrong answers. The goal is to know precisely where you are now and not to judge. The more accurate the answers are, the better is the quality of the advice given to you.
Is the Food Diary necessary?
Yes, in order to make a plan I need to know precisely where you are right now and how we can reach your goals. Therefore there is no right or wrong, good or bad day.
Do it, be accurate and I will be able to give you more accurate advice.
What is the Consultation?
During the consultation your report (based in the information previously gathered) is given to you, the suggestions analyzed and we build a plan of action together. I will answer any relevant questions, give you a food list, help you to understand how to make a weekly menu, how to prepare food and how to shop for food, strategies to de stress, how to improve your digestion and lifestyle as well. All this is to help to go faster from where you are to where you want to go!
What is the Kitchen Rehab?
We go through your pantry and fridge, I explain what you should and shouldn’t have, why eating cardboard is healthier than eating cereal, what relevant information is in the label (and what is hidden).
You will understand how to make decisions regarding food and its preparation, where to get new ideas about recipes, how to spend less time in the kitchen, and more time enjoying food.
And about the grocery store excursion?
Aisle by aisle we take a look at the products that you should have at home, the ones to avoid, how to read the labels what to buy and not to buy from the fish/meat counter, if organic is really better and what type of emergency food to bring back home.
